INDE TECHNOLOGIES – BUSINESS DEVELOPMENT OFFICER (TRAVEL & TOURISM PLATFORMS)
Location: Lilongwe (with nationwide travel)
Employment Type: Fixed-term contract
Reports to: Head of Operations & Digital Systems
Inde Technologies designs and manages digital platforms that support travel and tourism businesses across Malawi. We’re looking for an energetic, market-oriented officer to lead client engagement, onboarding, and growth in the hospitality and tourism sector.
Key Responsibilities:
- Engage and build relationships with accommodation providers, lodges, hotels, guesthouses, and travel operators nationwide
- Lead onboarding of clients onto digital booking and promotion platforms
- Support clients with profile setup, pricing, availability, and content uploads
- Act as the primary point of contact for onboarded clients
- Promote platform value to new clients and drive business growth
- Maintain client database and track onboarding progress, activity, and retention
- Provide regular reports and gather client feedback for product improvement
Required Qualifications & Experience:
- Bachelor’s degree in Tourism, Hospitality Management, Business, Marketing, or related field
- 2–3 years’ experience in tourism, hospitality, sales, or business development
- Familiarity with accommodation operations, booking processes, and tourism services
- Experience working with hotels, lodges, guesthouses, or travel operators
Key Skills & Competencies:
- Strong communication and relationship-building skills
- Confident in field engagement and follow-ups
- Basic digital literacy and comfort with online platforms
- Strong organizational and reporting skills
- Willingness to travel and work with diverse tourism stakeholders
