TIMANGE ECOBUILD LTD (Habitat for Humanity Malawi) – SALES & MARKETING OFFICER

Location: Machinjiri, Blantyre

Habitat for Humanity Malawi, through its social enterprise Timange EcoBuild Ltd, is seeking a Sales and Marketing Officer to drive revenue growth, expand market presence, and promote sustainable building materials in Blantyre and surrounding areas.

Job Summary:

The Sales & Marketing Officer is responsible for acquiring new clients, managing accounts, and converting opportunities into sales. The role includes strategy development, market research, customer relationship management, and reporting to the Production Manager.

Main Responsibilities:

• Manage sales and marketing activities across Blantyre and catchment areas
• Achieve and exceed monthly, quarterly, and annual sales targets
• Identify new customers and markets with the Business Development Officer
• Negotiate orders, pricing, payment terms, and ensure timely delivery
• Support sales and marketing strategy development for different market segments
• Conduct market research and analyze trends
• Coordinate advertising, marketing materials, and promotional initiatives
• Build and maintain strong customer relationships
• Handle customer queries and complaints
• Prepare daily, weekly, monthly, quarterly, and annual sales reports
• Manage product ordering and sales/marketing budgets

Educational Qualifications:

• Degree in Marketing, Sales, Business Administration, Communications, Public Relations, or related field

Experience:

• 2–5 years of progressive experience in sales, marketing, or business development
• Verifiable track record of meeting or exceeding revenue targets
• Strong communication, negotiation, presentation, and English fluency preferred
• Ability to analyze market trends and develop data-driven strategies
• Experience in researching, developing, and launching new products/services
