Job Overview
The school invites applications from suitably qualified and committed Christians to fill the position of Procurement Officer, tenable at Marymount Catholic Secondary School. The successful candidate will report to the School Manager through the Finance Manager and will be responsible for managing procurement operations in line with institutional policies and standards.

Key Responsibilities
• Establish and maintain relationships with local and international vendors.
• Ensure suppliers meet performance criteria and maintain an up-to-date supplier database.
• Estimate and manage procurement budgets and unit costs.
• Maintain accurate procurement records including purchase requisitions, orders, quotes, invoices, and goods received notes.
• Ensure all goods and services procured meet quality standards.
• Advise management on procurement policies and issues.
• Coordinate tendering processes, bid openings, and evaluations.
• Manage procurement contracts and oversee delivery of goods and services.
• Source quotations and verify invoices before approval for payment.
• Prepare and present regular procurement reports to management.

Qualifications and Experience
• Diploma in Procurement, Purchasing and Supply, or Supply Chain Management (or equivalent) from a recognized institution.
• Minimum of 3 years’ professional experience in procurement.
• Must be below 40 years of age.
• Strong knowledge of public procurement regulations and best practices.
• Experience in tendering, bid evaluation, contract management, and supplier monitoring.
• Must be a practicing Christian of good moral standing.
• Must be sober-minded, honest, and computer literate.
• Must be a registered and practicing member of the Malawi Institute of Procurement and Supply (MIPS).
